BOAFIT.COM COOKIE Policy

Last Updated: January 1, 2021

OVERVIEW

To make this website and the other websites (the “Sites”) operated by Boa Technology, Inc. and our subsidiaries (collectively, “BOA”), and to provide the most relevant products and services to visitors of our Sites, we may place small data files called “cookies” on your computer or device.  This Cookie Policy (this “Policy”) describes how BOA uses cookies and other tracking technologies to recognize you when you visit our Sites, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or device when you visit the website.  Like virtual door keys, cookies unlock a computer’s memory and allow a website to recognize users when they return to a site by opening doors to different content or services.  Like a key, a cookie itself does not contain information, but when it is read by a browser, it can help a website improve the service delivered.

Cookies usually don’t contain much information except for the URL of the website that created the cookie, the “lifetime” of the cookie, and a random text string with letters and numbers.  Due to the limited amount of information a cookie typically contains, it usually cannot be used to reveal your identity or personally identifiable information.  However, some cookies and tracking technologies, including some of those that we may use, can collect personally identifiable information, or other information that becomes personally identifiable information when combined with other information.  For more information about how we handle your personally identifiable information, please read our Privacy Policy by visiting www.boafit.com/en-us/privacy-policy.

The length of time cookies are stored on your computer device depends on whether they are a “session” cookie or a “persistent” cookie.  Session cookies are created temporarily in your browser’s subfolder while you are visiting a website and disappear after you close your browser.  Persistent cookies are created in your browser’s subfolder and are activated each time you visit the website that created the particular cookie.  Persistent cookies remain in your browser’s subfolder for the duration of the period set within the cookie’s file unless it is deleted.

You can learn more about cookies by visiting www.allaboutcookies.org
