JANELLE YIP

The backcountry called and Janelle Yip answered. 

Growing up in Calgary, Alberta, Janelle cut her teeth skiing the park and competing in local slopestyle events. After high school, Yip relocated to Revelstoke, BC to bring her freestyle skills to deeper snow and bigger mountains, and ultimately find her passion for backcountry skiing. Fast-forward a few years, and Janelle is a household name in the ski industry and founder of the female ski crew, ‘The Blondes’. 

These days, you can find Janelle wherever the snow is deep and the vibes are high. With standout film parts with iconic production companies such as Matchstick Productions and Teton Gravity Research, her resume is filling up quick despite her young age. It’s no secret why BOA® brand partners such as Atomic, The North Face, and Smith Optics jumped at the opportunity to support Janelle as a marquis athlete, and we’re honored to have her represent BOA® as we venture into the world of alpine skiing.
