Before we see you in Leogang starting on June 5th, we have gathered some information about our athletes and the races they will be running during WHOOP Leogang UCI MTB World Cup.
Nina Hoffmann "I‘m really looking forward to Leogang World Cup. It always feels like a home race for me as we’re so close to the German border and many German fans and friends are coming along. I also love the area and Leogang always provides good vibes! So can’t wait for this years part"
Nina is one of the most consistent women on the Downhill circuit. Leogang is the closest World Cup race to her hometown in Germany, which always brings extra motivation for the German rider. With her precision, power, and dialed-in mentality, Nina is a top contender for the podium in Leogang.
Hoffmann’s consistent performance throughout the 2024 season solidified her status as one of the top competitors in women’s downhill.
She is part of the Santa Cruz Syndicate team and will be racing this season in the high-performance Fox Union BOA® shoes. These shoes feature Dual Dial Li2 closure systems, offering a microadjustable precision fit to deliver extreme control.
Luca Shaw "I always look forward to the World Cup in Leogang, it’s the venue I’ve raced the most in my career and I have great memories from that place. Last year I was on a really good run and a mistake near the bottom cost me a podium spot so I’m looking forward to a little redemption this time around!"
Luca is a seasoned racer on the Downhill World Cup circuit, known for his smooth, controlled style and technical finesse. Leogang’s fast, demanding track suits his strengths, and he’s looking to carry momentum into one of the most iconic stops of the season.
Racing for the Canyon CLLTV, Luca will be riding in the Crankbrothers Mallet.
SCOTT- SRAM / Professional MTB Racing Team
The legendary SCOTT-SRAM team returns to Leogang for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, ready to take on the demanding Cross-Country course. After a one-year break, XC racing is back in Leogang—and SCOTT-SRAM is bringing one of the strongest squads in the field.
Leading the charge is Nino Schurter, the most decorated XC rider in history, who continues to defy expectations with every race. Earlier this season, Nino and his teammate Filippo Colombo claimed an impressive overall victory at the Absa Cape Epic, proving that experience, strategy, and relentless drive are still a winning combination.
They’re joined by rising stars Bjorn Riley, Emilly Johnston, and Andri Frischknecht, all bringing their own firepower to the course. Emilly, one of the most exciting emerging talents in the women’s field, will be aiming for a standout result on Leogang’s returning XC layout.
All SCOTT-SRAM athletes will be racing in the SCOTT MTB RC SL BOA®—a top-tier shoe designed for elite Cross-Country performance.
Canyon CLLTV
Canyon CLLCTV heads to Leogang with a powerful and well-rounded Cross-Country squad, ready to take on the returning XC course after a one-year break.
The team features top riders including Jenny Risveds (won the last Worldcup in Brazil, Valentina Corvi, Luca Schwarzbauer, Noa Filippi, Thibaut Francois, Thomas Griot—all known for their speed, technical skills, and competitive drive.
Canyon CLLCTV athletes will be racing in the Canyon Tempr CFR Off ROAD, built for the demands of World Cup Cross-Country racing.
From June 5th to 8th, the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series will bring the world’s best athletes to Saalfelden Leogang for another epic bike battle in the mountains.
BOA® Athletes would not miss one of the most iconic World Cup races—especially one that takes place near the EMEA BOA® offices. For the fifth consecutive year, BOA® will be present at this incredible event with a booth to support all BOA® athletes competing and to connect with the passionate bike community gathering in Leogang that weekend. 2024’s edition was an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait for this year’s edition.
