Leogang was a blast!

What a wild, unforgettable weekend at the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series in the legendary Bikepark Leogang! The world’s best riders went head-to-head in brutal, muddy conditions that pushed both skill and gear to the absolute limit—and the crowd loved every second of it. It was a weekend where fans, athletes, teams, and brands joined forces to create a legendary chapter in MTB.

Across downhill, cross-country, and short track, the level was off the charts—and the results speak for themselves. Out of 36 podium spots, 24 were claimed by athletes riding with BOA®-powered shoes. So who rose above the mud and delivered when it mattered most? Let’s take a closer look at how the BOA® athletes performed in Leogang.

Nina Hoffmann - Setback in Leogang, But Still Dialed In

Nina Hoffmann was absolutely flying in Leogang until a huge crash in Saturday’s free practice just before the finals. She had qualified 6th and was looking strong, but luckily walked away without serious injuries.

Just two days later, Nina was back at it—visiting the BOA® EMEA Headquarters to record an episode of the Downtime Podcast with Chris Hall. She opened up about the crash, her winning mentality, and how she stays Dialed In to keep competing.

Luca Shaw had a standout weekend. Despite a rough final practice, he qualified 4th and delivered a composed, confident run that left him stoked. “I was able to ride free and keep charging the whole way down,” Luca said. On race day, he crossed the line in 11th—another strong result in a season that keeps gaining momentum.

SCOTT- SRAM / Professional MTB Racing Team

Leogang’s muddy madness tested everyone, but SCOTT-SRAM rose to the occasion. Filippo Colombo battled back from a rough start to take 6th: “Finally felt like myself again.” Nino Schurter finished 11th on one of his favorite tracks. Emilly Johnston crashed early but found another gear, powering through to claim her best-ever World Cup result in 22nd. Bjorn Riley kept the effort high and came home in 25th. It was a gritty weekend of comebacks, resilience, and a whole lot of mud—just the way we like it.

Canyon CLLTV

Leogang delivered classic chaos, but Canyon CLLCTV’s XCO squad handled it with precision and poise. Luca Schwarzbauer continued his strong run of form with 8th place, saying, “Super happy about my consistency, but I would love to make the step into the top 5 sooner or later this season.” Jenny Rissvedskept the momentum going in the women’s field, riding a smart, steady race to secure 10th. It was a weekend of focus, determination, and solid results—just what you’d expect from the Canyon crew.
