BOA® Attends the International Conference Working on Safety
BOA®'s commitment to safety and innovation was represented by Performance Fit Lab Sr. Manager Eric Honert, PhD, at the 12th International Conference Working on Safety, held in Dresden, Germany. With 270 attendees from 45 countries, the event provided a valuable platform for global collaboration with industry professionals and researchers, reinforcing BOA®'s dedication to transparency and connection through community engagement.
At the conference, Eric Honert presented BOA®'s PerformFit™ Wrap technology, designed to enhance the fit and connection between the shoe and foot. By wrapping over the midfoot, this design reduces pressure points, resulting in up to a 9% improvement in stability and control and up to a 3% boost in energy efficiency.
The internal testing at the BOA® Performance Fit Lab showcased the impact of the PerformFit™ Wrap on worker safety and on-the-job performance. The tests revealed enhancements in stability and control during tasks commonly executed on the worksite, along with improved energy efficiency. Ultimately, the PerformFit™ Wrap shoe leads to less overall stress on workwear professionals.
